The
Reef Girls will be at the HEAT tour
Rolling
Wheel Productions is holding the first High
Energy Awareness Tour (HEAT) stop in Belmont
Park, during Spring Break 2003, April 5th-27th in Mission Beach,
San Diego.
The
HEAT will be displaying the history and evolution of skateboarding with
the ‘Art of Skateboarding’ exhibit as well as holding a
variety of entertainment attractions on the beach and at the main stage
area inside the park.
The
skate and surf culture has exploded over the last twenty years into
a lifestyle that has become a trademark of what Southern California
is all about. The clothing, music, dance, athleticism, entertainment
and activities that have come from this culture have touched people
from all over the world. It has influenced and created a multi billion-dollar
industry in both markets and has captured advertisers in nearly ever
area to promote their products by affiliating with this culture. It
is time to celebrate these sports by displaying their evolution and
history in an exciting unique way in Belmont Park during Spring Break
2003.
The
Art of Skateboarding Exhibit will be held in an indoor room located
next to the food court in the park. This exhibit will display the history
and evolution of skateboarding, telling the tail of skateboarding history
by displays of surfboards, roller-skates, skateboards, pictures, memorabilia,
and videos. The visitor will be able to take a tour from the creation
of the wheel to today’s modern skateboard.
